Meet Our Team // Esther š„
Meet Our Team! Esther is a stylist and creative director and is also one of our part-time sales team members here at ATIKA. A couple of weeks ago, our Store Manager AnaĆÆs styled Esther in x6 fits that you can now shop online! We shot Esther in and around Shoreditch and finally sat down to do a little Q&A at the end so you can get to know our girl, a little more.
Describe your style in x3 words?
Colourful, eclectic, chakra.
What do you like about vintage?
No matter how old it is, you can style it anyway. Also, the quality of the clothes was so much better back then.
What was your favourite piece from this shoot and why?
The American college style jacket. I felt like a different person ha! Love how AnaĆÆs styled it.
Tell us one of your style icons?
I really like Solange as an artist, her concepts and the way she dresses are beautiful. She's just original, she dresses for herself.
How long have you been styling for?
About two years now!
What made you get into styling?
Myself! When l was a teenager, l loved dressing up and going around London, shopping, travelling and seeing how people dressed. That all really inspired me.
Whatās your favourite item we have here at ATIKA and why?
I love the vintage sunglasses. Thereās a variety of glasses from the 1950s to early 2000s!
Who would you love to style and why?
Probably Solange, and like I said before, her concepts are beautiful, and so is the way she dresses.
What advice would you give to younger people who want to get into styling?
Don't feel like you need to follow trends. Be authentic to yourself, and trust that whatever it is you truly desire, it will come to you through hard work and resilience.
Whatās your favourite piece that you own?
I have this beautiful vintage crochet three-piece. Its proper 70s bohemian style, love it!
What did you learn from being in lockdown?
How important it is to do self-work otherwise you won't really truly be happy.
You can follow Esther and check out her work, over on her Instagram here.
