ATIKA Playlists: Drunk at Vogue
Here at ATIKA, the music in-store is just as important in creating an atmosphere as much as our team is. Our store manager Tony has written a few words about a playlist he has curated.
Every dressing room needs a theme song. Whether it's a classic Bowie banger or a steel band cover song, you look the nuts in them jeans and you're catwalking on the spot.
Drunk at Vogue is a playlist I've spent many years adding to. Like a sculpture built from bone to muscle, it's a layered beast. Coco Chanel says "Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off." Drunk at Vogue says "Just add one more."
The playlist is a whopping 38 hour brawl! She isnt a refined purebred but a chaotic mutt hungry for attention. We have the ride or die classics, ESG, The B52's, Kraftwerk and Bjork. Some sexy "modern" lovers, Roisin Murphy, Missy Elliott, Peaches and Daft punk. And a cheeky handful of odd one night stands, The Blow, Tirzah, Chicks on Speed and Deerhoof.
