A/W TRENDS 2021

With hot chocolate and cold nights drawing ever closer the change of seasons has never felt more prevalent. A whole new wardrobe is on the horizon which promises the return of big coats, wool knits and lots of layers. Each year trends funnel from runway to high street which gives life to new ways to wear old items. Here is our guide to Autumn Winter trends for 2021…

Colour Pallet

Nothing says Autumn quite like the switch from pastels to earth tones and this year is no different. The hint of red is new to 2021 and will transcend through menswear and womenswear, watch out Santa.

ERA

70s / 90s

This year we have seen countless references to 70s fashion and in particular the rise of 70s styles in the 90s. This look is easy to obtain with a statement collar or a pair of flares.

Patterns

Geometric / Patchwork / Sheer

Lots of prints this year are taking us to a futuristic place, with nods to radiofrequency and extraterrestrial beings.

Waistcoats

Waistcoats are a great layer for Autumn - when it isn’t quite cold enough to brave a puffer.

Printed Trousers

One way in which you can still bring colour into your wardrobe through the drabber months is by adding a pair of patterned trousers. Tone down with a white tank or long line coat.

Suits

The rise of suits being worn for streetwear purposes has given way to new ways to wear tailored items. This allows for outfits to be easily changeable from day to night.

Statement Knit

Turns out Grandma had it right all those years. From sweater vests to oversized jumpers adding a knit is a sure-fire way to get your Autumnal fix.

Fur Trim Jackets

This trend is basically Afghan coats on steroids, with Charlotte Simone paving the way for all things Mongolian fur we’ve seen these erupt over the year. Gone are the days of your coat covering your outfit, this year they are the statement piece.
